 September 2, 2010 – Yesterday the National University of Science and Technology “MISiS” was visited by the Ambassador to Luxembourg Gaston Stronck and representatives of the German metallurgical giant ArcelorMittal Eizenhuttenstadt (AMEH) (company’s CEO Thorsten Brand and Labour Director Joachim Niebur) to mark along with the Rector of the University Dmitry Livanov the official opening of a new classroom funded by ArcelorMittal.

In the period from 8 to 13 November 2010 the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on the basis of the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS” (Moscow) will hold the conference “The ecological issues and environmental management for APEC countries and ways of problems’ solving” . |

July 27, 2010 – Russian President Dmitry Medvedev paid an official visit to the National University of Science and Technology “MISiS” on Tuesday to hold a regular session of the Government Committee on the Modernization and Technological Development of Russia.

Last week the MISiS hosted the US Ambassador to Russia, John Beyrle, who visited the University to give a speech and answer questions on important issues concerning Russo-American bilateral relations in the fields of education, science, and technology. That was not the first visit in recent times of an American high government official to the MISiS.

In accordance with Declaration signed November 1, 2009 in Baku between Black Sea Universities Network and Eurasian Universities Association EUA, Lomonosov Moscow State University organizes III International Conference “Universities and Community.
